Atlas Ocean Voyages Names World Traveller in Chile

Chief Sales Officer of Cruise Planners and godmother of Atlas Ocean Voyages’ new ship, Theresa Scalzitti, celebrated the official naming ceremony of World Traveller this past weekend in the fjords of Beagle Channel’s Glacier Alley in Chile. The ceremony also included the official naming of the World Navigator, which had been in service since 2021 but was never formally named due to Covid restrictions. Avid adventurer Karen Lundgren serves as the World Navigator’s godmother.

MSC Cruises Eases Protocols for U.S. Residents

MSC Cruises will ease health and safety protocols for U.S. residents on cruises departing from U.S. ports to the Caribbean and the Bahamas starting September 1st. The cruise line will relax COVID-19 testing and vaccination requirements for U.S. residents, though they still recommend all U.S. residents be fully vaccinated and tested prior to sailing.

On July 25, 2022, Holland America Line’s team and travelers celebrated one year of returning to sea after the cruise industry paused cruising in the light of COVID-19.
